Dear Client

We are just over the initial three week lockdown period and have at least a further two weeks extension of the lockdown, as per the State President’s announcement. We realize that this is causing much anxiety to all and what the future may hold.

In order to provide you with some comfort, we confirm that all our operations are fully functional, even though certain aspects thereof may be hampered by service delivery such as the closure of the Master of the High Court’s Office, Deeds Office, Municipalities rates Clearance Departments and physical access to SARS, certain divisions of banks and financial institutions not regarded as essential services, etc.

Once the lockdown is lifted (possibly incrementally), the institutions mentioned above will have significant backlogs. However, we will do everything possible to mitigate how such backlogs and delays affect our operations and in turn, our service delivery to you. We will keep you appraised of what mitigating steps we will implement to ensure the least possible delays in any matters in which we are involved with.

Fortunately, not all aspects of our services are directly affected by the current situation.

Client meetings are welcomed via electronic means which is now the new normal. We can assist you to arrange such meetings.

This is to confirm that all the directors and key staff are working at to near full capacity from home. We have daily team meetings via Video Conference Call in order to retain cohesiveness and best possible workflows in our business.

All the directors and key staff can be contacted as normal (as in the past) via e-mail or cellphone. Please let us know should you have any queries or concerns.

The lockdown period creates the opportunity to do some forward planning, not only for us as a business but also in so far as it affects our clients and their personal affairs. We remain committed to assist our clients with all their fiduciary requirements as we have done in the past.

We wish you and all those dear to you all of the best during these difficult times. We remain on hand to assist in and advise. Please do not hesitate to make the call.

The Legacy Fiduciary Services team
